Our Graduate Program
Our 12-month Graduate Program is a permanent, full-time role with the goal of establishing your technical competence in the industry.
The Graduate year involves a tailored program designed to give you the technical and soft skills to lay a strong foundation for your life-long success. Ultimately, the best way to learn is by “doing”, so you will put your academic knowledge to use from day one.
Each year we select a number of Graduates to join the below service lines:

4. Get your CA or CPA
We are invested in your success. We support you in completing your CA or CPA both financially and with paid days off for study and exam leave. We recommend commencing further study about 6 months into your Graduate role to give you time to settle in first.
5. Learn your way
At BG Private, you’ll be able to learn by doing (with hands-on practice), learn by watching (our experience staff will show you the ropes) and learn by studying (we offer a range of in-person and on demand courses). We also train you in a broad range of essential soft skills including communication, manager training and time management.
6. Do interesting and challenging work
Graduates are valued at BG Private and contribute to the life of the firm from day one. You’ll get involved in client work from your first day (with support of course!). Initially, you will help manage our clients’ needs and as you gain more experience and understanding of client challenges and opportunities, you will be able to get more involved in analysis and advisory projects.

Our Graduate intake recruitment period is usually in October/November and April/May each year with our Graduates commencing in January or July, but you can submit at application year-round.

We know it can be daunting to work full time for the first time. We offer a structured program that is unique to the service line you are joining; a buddy and mentoring system; in person and digital on demand hard and soft skills training; and patient and supportive on-the-job training within your team.
To fast track your development, we encourage you to push and stretch yourself and we will support you every step of the way.
If you are joining our Accounting & Business Advisory and Audit & Assurance divisions, we encourage you to undertake your CA or CPA.
For most Graduates, the next step is becoming an Intermediate Accountant.
