Craig Mowat is originally from the Ballarat area and started his career at a regional accounting firm. He later moved to Melbourne where he joined Belli Group and later Pitcher Partners. He has been at BG Private for approximately 15 years.

Over many years, Craig Mowat has developed expertise in a suite of services that apply to large family groups – which typically involve a complex array of businesses, investments, and tax issues.

He is very familiar with the challenges faced by high-net-worth family groups, including things like managing debt and the flow of funds as well as protecting assets. He has a strong track record of guiding clients in successfully resolving issues and helping them reach the best possible outcomes.

Over the years, Craig has also honed his skills at dealing with the ATO, meaning he can often get superior outcomes for clients based on his deep knowledge of their procedures.

By breaking down the complexity of the tax system into understandable pieces, Craig helps reduce stress and uncertainty.

Internally, he is an expert in BG Private’s internal software and systems, meaning he is a go-to resource for the entire accounting team.

In his spare time, Craig loves to explore all that Melbourne has to offer from specialty coffee to craft beer. He’s also a regular at comedy clubs, and you’ll find him attending the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s night of nights, The Gala, each year.
