The role

We are experiencing an exciting phase of growth and are seeking an Associate Partner to join our Audit & Assurance team. In this leadership role, you will play a key part in driving team performance, providing mentorship and coaching, and delivering exceptional client service.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting audit delivery across a portfolio of clients, including planning, scoping, budgeting, and coordination of fieldwork and timelines
  • Managing workflows and client engagements to meet deadlines and budgets, including WIP control, billing support, and stakeholder communication
  • Providing technical guidance and review key deliverables (financial statements, audit working papers, reports), while identifying value-add and cross-selling opportunities
  • Delivering training, coaching, and ongoing support to develop team capability and performance
  • Contributing to team success through active participation, performance feedback, and achievement of targets
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding initiatives while maintaining strong technical expertise in accounting and auditing standards
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through consistent service delivery and responsiveness
  • Contributing to team profitability while upholding high professional standards and integrity
  • Identifying and supporting opportunities for repeat and new business, including developing client relationships

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Finance
  • CA/CPA Qualified
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end external audit engagements within public practice
  • Strong technical audit capability, including risk-based auditing, controls, compliance, and financial reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and confident approach
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to perform under pressure
  • Registered Company Auditor status preferred
