In Brief

Anti-money laundering

Australia’s anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws have been extended to accountants, financial planners, and other professional services firms – joining the major banks and institutions already subject to this regime. As a responsible corporate citizen, BG Private is committed to full compliance. Over the coming months, we will be reaching out to relevant clients to complete verification checks as part of our obligations under the new legislation. We appreciate your cooperation in advance – these steps are standard, straightforward, and in everyone’s interest. More information is available via AUSTRAC.

Financial Planning

As we approach the end of the financial year on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, we want to ensure any extra superannuation contributions you intend to make are processed in time. Please note that for a contribution to count toward your cap for the 2025/26 financial year, the funds must be clearing and sitting in your super fund’s bank account on or before 30 June. Because bank transfer times vary, please contact our Financial Planning team no later than Friday, 19 June 2026.
