Stay informed: ATO communication via myGov

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is increasingly communicating with taxpayers via myGov. So you don’t miss any critical ATO communications, we’ve introduced an automated system that scans for ATO correspondence and issues you a notification via email.

Please note:

  • Your BG Private advisor may not see this correspondence — you are responsible for reviewing it and taking any necessary action
  • You may receive duplicate notices via myGov, email or post
  • Not all ATO communications are captured by this system — some may still go directly to you without us receiving a copy, for example, PAYG Income Tax Instalments and Business Activity Statements (BAS).

It’s important to note that our reminder email is not a replacement for the ATO’s official correspondence, but rather an additional safeguard to help you stay on top of your obligations.
